The Minami Aizu Brewery
The Minami Aizu Brewery consists of a 10bbl (1000
liter) brewing system and two conical fermentation
vessels (one 10bbl, and one 20bbl). The mash tun has a
steam jacket that allows the brewer to adjust the mash
temperature at various stages of mashing. The system was
manufactured by Specific
Mechanical Systems of Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada and shipped to Japan in June, 1999. Upon arrival
at the port of Yokohama the system was transported to
Aizu and installed in the brewery in Tadami.
The system recently finished brewing our first product
for sale in November.
